DIZ is a restoration of an old apartment converted into offices, in the centre of the city of Avellino, Italy.
The plan consists of three office rooms, a meeting room, a small kitchen, and a waiting and reception area. As light filters into the various rooms the illumination creates the appearance of a single horizon 2.1 meters above the floor. Defining two spaces above and below, evoking a tranquil and private environment.
A passage that connects all spaces, composed of a wooden wall on one side and a bright surface on the other side, defines the central spine of the design. The polycarbonate sheet on the top of the wooden wall at a height of 2.1 meters lets the light refract through it, creating a beautiful glare effect, giving luminous and life to the corridor. The layers of subtle contrasts and play with reflections add softness to the palette of materials that provide the essential cleanliness to the office.

DIZ is an interior with tonalities that make the office distinct and impeccably rich in detail. Through the design of space and the elements of precision, a meditative ambience is felt inducing the impression of looking into an endless horizon.
